The Little Red Hen
Once upon a time, there was a Little Red Hen. She lived on a farm with a lazy dog, a sleepy cat, and a noisy duck. One day, the Little Red Hen found a grain of wheat. "Who will help me plant this wheat?" she asked. "Not I!" said the dog. "Not I!" said the cat. "Not I!" said the duck. So, the Little Red Hen planted the wheat all by herself.
When the wheat grew tall, she asked, "Who will help me cut this wheat?" "Not I!" said the dog. "Not I!" said the cat. "Not I!" said the duck. So, the Little Red Hen cut the wheat all by herself. Then she asked, "Who will help me take this wheat to the mill to be ground into flour?" "Not I!" said the dog. "Not I!" said the cat. "Not I!" said the duck. So, the Little Red Hen took the wheat to the mill all by herself.
When the flour was ready, she asked, "Who will help me bake some bread?" "Not I!" said the dog. "Not I!" said the cat. "Not I!" said the duck. So, the Little Red Hen baked the bread all by herself. When the bread was done, it smelled so good! "Who will help me eat this bread?" she asked. "I will!" said the dog. "I will!" said the cat. "I will!" said the duck. "No!" said the Little Red Hen.
