Once upon a time, there was a little red hen. She found some wheat seeds and wanted to bake bread. She asked her friends, the dog, the cat, and the mouse, for help. But they all said no. So, the little red hen planted the seeds herself. She watered them and watched them grow. When the wheat was ready, she cut it, took it to the mill, and ground it into flour. Then she baked a delicious loaf of bread. When it was time to eat, her friends wanted some, but the little red hen said, "No! I did all the work myself!" She ate the bread all by herself.
