Understanding Coordinate Adjectives
Coordinate adjectives are two or more adjectives that modify the same noun independently. They are of equal importance and can often be rearranged or have 'and' placed between them. If you can swap the order of the adjectives or insert 'and' between them, they are coordinate and should be separated by a comma (unless they are joined by 'and'). If not, they are cumulative and should not be separated by a comma.
