This worksheet will help you practice identifying and differentiating between predicate nominatives and predicate adjectives, which are types of subject complements. Read each instruction carefully and provide your best answer.

Subject complements are words or phrases that follow a linking verb and rename or describe the subject. There are two main types:

1. Predicate Nominative: A noun or pronoun that renames the subject.

Example: My favorite author is Shakespeare.

2. Predicate Adjective: An adjective that describes the subject.

Example: The old house seemed spooky.
