Why Do Bears Hibernate?

When winter comes, it gets very cold. Food is also hard to find. So, some animals, like bears, hibernate. Hibernating means they sleep for a long time. Because they sleep through the cold winter, they do not need to look for food. They live off the fat they ate all summer and fall.
