Read each sentence carefully. The subject is who or what the sentence is about. Follow the instructions for each section.

A subject is the person, place, thing, or idea that a sentence is about. It tells you WHO or WHAT is doing the action or being described.

Example: The dog barked loudly.

Who barked loudly? The dog. So, "The dog" is the subject.
