The Little Red Hen
Once upon a time, there was a Little Red Hen who lived on a farm. She found a grain of wheat and wanted to plant it. She asked her friends, the Pig, the Cat, and the Duck, for help. But they all said, "Not I!"
So, the Little Red Hen planted the wheat all by herself. When the wheat grew tall, she asked her friends for help to cut it. Again, they all said, "Not I!" So, the Little Red Hen cut the wheat all by herself. Then, she asked for help to take the wheat to the mill. Her friends said, "Not I!" So, she took it herself.
Finally, the Little Red Hen had flour. She decided to bake a delicious cake. She asked her friends for help to bake the cake. And again, they all said, "Not I!" So, the Little Red Hen baked the cake all by herself. When the cake was ready, it smelled so good! This time, when she asked who would eat the cake, all her friends shouted, "I will!" But the Little Red Hen said, "No, I will eat it myself because I did all the work!" And she ate the whole cake.
