The Little Blue Bird

Once there was a little blue bird named Sky. Sky loved to sing, but he was very shy. He lived in a tall oak tree in a big, green park. One sunny morning, Sky woke up and saw that his nest was broken! A big gust of wind had blown it apart during the night. Sky felt very sad. He didn't know how to fix it all by himself. His friend, a busy squirrel named Squeaky, saw Sky looking sad. Squeaky chattered, 'Don't worry, Sky! I can help you find new twigs and soft leaves!' Together, Sky and Squeaky worked all morning. Squeaky found strong twigs, and Sky gathered soft feathers and leaves. By lunchtime, Sky's nest was as good as new! Sky was so happy, he sang the loudest, most beautiful song he had ever sung.
