Leo the Lion Cub
Leo was a very shy lion cub. He loved to play, but he always played by himself, hidden behind a big rock. When the other cubs roared and chased each other, Leo would watch from afar, wishing he could join in. He was scared they would laugh at his quiet purr instead of a loud roar. One sunny afternoon, a small bird fell out of its nest. All the other cubs were too busy playing to notice. But Leo saw the little bird shivering on the ground. He knew he had to help. Taking a deep breath, Leo stepped out from behind his rock. He gently nudged the bird with his nose until it hopped under a bush, safe from the other playful paws. The bird's mother flew down and chirped thankfully at Leo. The other cubs stopped playing and watched. They saw how brave and kind Leo had been. From that day on, Leo wasn't so shy. He still liked quiet times, but he also joined the other cubs for games, and sometimes, he would even let out a small, happy roar.
