What are Vowel Diphthongs?
A vowel diphthong is a sound formed by the combination of two vowels in a single syllable, in which the sound begins as one vowel and moves towards another. The two most common diphthongs are 'oi' (as in 'coin') and 'ou' (as in 'cloud'). Other common diphthongs include 'ow' (as in 'cow') and 'oy' (as in 'toy').
