The Little Bear Who Lost His Roar

Once upon a time, in a cozy forest filled with tall oak trees and sparkling rivers, lived a small bear named Barnaby. Barnaby loved to play with his friends, the chattering squirrels and the hopping bunnies. One sunny morning, Barnaby woke up and tried to let out a big, happy roar, but nothing came out! He tried again, 'Rrrraawwr!' but only a tiny squeak escaped.

Barnaby felt very sad. How could he play hide-and-seek without his loud roar? He decided to ask his wise old friend, Owl, for help. Owl lived in the tallest oak tree, always ready with good advice. Barnaby explained his problem to Owl. Owl listened carefully and then said, 'Perhaps your roar is just hiding, Barnaby. You need to find what makes you feel brave and strong again.'

Barnaby thought hard. He remembered how brave he felt when he helped a baby bird find its nest last week. He also felt strong when he shared his berries with his friends. Suddenly, Barnaby saw a group of his squirrel friends stuck on a high branch, scared to come down. Without thinking, Barnaby puffed out his chest and let out a huge, brave ROAR! The squirrels were startled, but then they carefully climbed down. Barnaby's roar was back! He realized that helping others made him feel brave and strong, and that brought his roar right back.
