The Little Blue Bird

Once upon a time, in a tall oak tree at the edge of a sunny meadow, lived a tiny blue bird named Sky. Sky loved to sing, and his songs were the sweetest in the whole forest. One morning, Sky woke up and his voice was gone! He tried to chirp, but only a tiny squeak came out. Sky was very sad. He flew to his friend, a wise old owl named Professor Hoot. Professor Hoot listened carefully and then told Sky, "Your voice is not gone, little one, it's just hidden! You must find the Sparkling Dewdrop on the tallest mountain before sunset." Sky bravely flew off, across the meadow, past the whispering river, and up the winding path to the tallest mountain. Just as the sun began to dip below the horizon, he found the Sparkling Dewdrop. He drank it, and instantly, his beautiful singing voice returned, sweeter than ever! Sky sang all the way home, happy to be himself again.
