Lily and the Lost Kite

One sunny afternoon, Lily went to the park with her brand new, rainbow-colored kite. The wind was blowing just right, and she laughed as her kite soared high above the trees. Suddenly, a big gust of wind came and snapped the string! Lily watched sadly as her kite drifted further and further away, over the tall oak trees and out of sight. A tear rolled down her cheek. She didn't know what to do. Just then, an old man with a kind smile walked by. "What's wrong, little one?" he asked. Lily told him about her lost kite. The old man pointed to a very tall tree at the edge of the park. "I think I saw something colorful caught in the branches of that old oak," he said. Lily's eyes lit up! Together, they walked to the tree. The kite was indeed tangled high up. The old man carefully climbed a few branches and gently untangled the kite. "Thank you, thank you!" Lily exclaimed, giving the old man a big hug. She learned that even when things seem lost, kindness can help you find your way.
