Read the information about the Boston Massacre and answer the questions carefully.
The Boston Massacre happened a long, long time ago, in the year 1770. It was a cold night in Boston, a city in America. There were British soldiers in Boston, and many colonists (people who lived in America) were not happy about it. They felt the soldiers were taking over their city. On March 5th, a group of colonists started throwing snowballs and yelling at British soldiers. The soldiers got scared and fired their guns. Five colonists died that night. This event made many colonists even angrier at the British and helped start the American Revolution.
