The Secret Treehouse
Lily loved to explore. Every Saturday, she would pack a small bag with a snack and a book, then head into the woods behind her house. Her best friend, Sam, was usually waiting for her at the edge of the trees. Sam was careful and always thought things through before acting. He often carried a map and a compass, even though they knew the woods like the back of their hands. Today, they were going to their secret treehouse, a special place they had built together. Lily, being adventurous, wanted to try a new, steeper path up the hill. Sam, however, suggested they stick to the usual, safer route. 'What if we get lost?' he asked, adjusting his backpack. Lily just grinned. 'That's part of the adventure, Sam!' she exclaimed, already starting up the steeper path. Sam sighed but followed, making sure to watch where he stepped.
