The Great Treehouse Debate

Lily and Tom were best friends. One sunny afternoon, they decided to build a treehouse in the old oak tree in Lily's backyard. Lily was excited about a cozy, secret hideaway with soft pillows and a small bookshelf. She imagined reading her favorite books up high in the branches, safe from the world below.

Tom, however, had a different idea. He pictured a sturdy fortress with a rope ladder and a lookout post. He wanted to defend it from imaginary dragons and plan daring adventures from its highest point. He imagined all the battles they could win from their new stronghold.

As they gathered wood and tools, they started to argue. "It needs a window box for flowers!" Lily insisted. "No way! It needs a trapdoor for surprise attacks!" Tom countered. They both loved the idea of a treehouse, but they couldn't agree on what kind of treehouse it should be.
