The Little Bear Who Lost His Roar
Barnaby was a small bear who lived in a cozy cave tucked deep within Whispering Woods. He loved to play hide-and-seek with his friends, Flora the Fox and Ollie the Owl. One sunny morning, Barnaby woke up and tried to let out his usual mighty roar, but only a tiny squeak came out! He tried again, but still, just a little 'eep!' Barnaby felt very sad. He couldn't scare away the cheeky squirrels who stole his berries, and he couldn't join in the loud growling games with the bigger bears. Flora and Ollie tried to help. Flora suggested he drink some honey tea, and Ollie told him to practice in front of a mirror. Nothing worked. Barnaby decided to visit the wise old badger, Bartholomew, who lived by the bubbling brook. Bartholomew listened patiently to Barnaby's problem. "Sometimes, little bear," Bartholomew said kindly, "your roar isn't lost, it's just hiding. You need to find your courage first." Barnaby thought about this. The next day, when a big, grumpy badger tried to take Flora's favorite fishing spot, Barnaby, feeling a surge of bravery, stood tall and let out the biggest, loudest roar he had ever made! The grumpy badger scurried away, and Barnaby's roar was back, stronger than ever. He realized Bartholomew was right; his courage had brought his roar back.
