The Little Seed
Once, in a quiet little garden, lived a tiny seed named Pip. Pip was scared to grow. All around him, other seeds sprouted into tall, green plants, but Pip stayed hidden under the soil. He worried he wasn't strong enough, or that the sun would be too hot, or the rain too cold. One sunny morning, a wise old earthworm named Wiggly wiggled by. 'Why do you hide, little Pip?' asked Wiggly. 'The world above is beautiful, and you have strength inside you that you don't even know about.' Wiggly told Pip stories of the warm sun, the gentle rain, and the joy of seeing butterflies. Slowly, Pip began to feel a tiny spark of courage. He pushed a little root down, and then a tiny green shoot up. It was hard work, but he remembered Wiggly's words. Soon, Pip was a strong, beautiful sunflower, reaching proudly towards the sky, happy he had finally chosen to grow.
