Read the story below carefully. Then, answer the questions about its plot structure. Remember the five parts of a plot: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.

The Magical Seed

Lily loved to explore the ancient forest behind her house. One sunny afternoon, she stumbled upon a small, glowing seed nestled between the roots of a giant oak tree. She carefully picked it up, feeling a strange warmth in her palm. (Exposition)

Back home, Lily planted the seed in a pot and watched as it quickly sprouted into a tiny sapling, then grew taller and taller, reaching for her bedroom ceiling. The plant began to glow softly at night, and its leaves shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow. Curious, Lily tried to touch one of the glowing leaves, but it pulled back. As the plant grew, strange things started to happen around her house: objects floated, and her dog, Buster, began to talk! Lily realized the plant had magical powers, but she didn't know how to control them. She worried the magic would get out of hand and cause trouble. (Rising Action)

One morning, the plant grew so tall it burst through the roof! Its glowing leaves filled the sky, and magical energy pulsed through the town, making everything float. Cars hovered, people began to giggle uncontrollably, and Buster wouldn't stop singing opera. Panic spread as the magic became overwhelming. Lily knew she had to do something. She remembered a legend about a 'Heart of the Forest' that could calm any magic. With Buster's help, she raced back to the giant oak tree, hoping to find a way to stop the runaway magic. (Climax)

At the base of the oak, Lily found a sparkling crystal. She touched it to the plant's roots, and the intense glow began to fade. The floating objects gently settled back to the ground, Buster stopped singing, and the giggling townspeople calmed down. The plant, now a normal size, still shimmered faintly, but its wild magic was gone. (Falling Action)

Lily learned that magic, while wonderful, needs to be respected and understood. She kept the plant, now a beautiful, shimmering houseplant, and Buster occasionally whispered funny jokes, a small reminder of their magical adventure. Lily became the protector of the forest, ensuring its magic was always balanced. (Resolution)
