The Whispering Woods

Lily loved to explore. Every Saturday morning, armed with a small backpack and a sense of adventure, she would venture into the Whispering Woods behind her house. The woods earned their name because on windy days, the leaves seemed to whisper secrets to each other. One day, Lily noticed a path she had never seen before, barely visible beneath a tangle of vines. Curiosity tugged at her, so she pushed aside the vines and stepped onto the new path. It wound deeper into the woods than she had ever gone, and the whispers grew louder, almost like a song. Suddenly, she stumbled upon a clearing. In the center stood an ancient oak tree, its branches reaching like arms to the sky. A tiny, sparkling light pulsed at its base. Lily carefully approached, her heart thumping with excitement. She reached out a hand, and as her fingers brushed the light, a soft, warm glow enveloped her.
