Read the following short narrative. Then, answer the questions about its structure.

The old lighthouse stood stoically against the battering waves, a beacon of hope for sailors navigating the treacherous coast. Young Elara, a fisherman's daughter, had always been fascinated by its light. One stormy night, as a fierce gale raged, the lighthouse beam flickered and died. Her father's boat was due back any moment. Panic clawed at Elara's throat, but she knew what she had to do. Gathering her courage, she scaled the winding stairs, the wind howling around her. At the top, she found the old lamp shattered. Thinking quickly, she remembered the emergency lantern her grandfather kept. With trembling hands, she lit it, and though weaker, its small glow pierced the darkness, guiding her father's boat safely to shore just as dawn broke. Exhausted but relieved, Elara watched as her father embraced her, the small lantern a testament to her bravery.
