Read each sentence carefully. For each sentence, identify the subject, verb, direct object, indirect object, and any modifiers. Then, diagram the sentence using the provided space. Remember to place the subject and verb on the main baseline, separated by a vertical line. Direct objects follow the verb on the baseline, separated by a vertical line that does not go through the baseline. Indirect objects are placed below the verb on a slanted line. Adjectives and adverbs are placed on slanted lines below the words they modify.
