Read the following passage and answer the questions.

The old house stood silently on the hill. Years ago, laughter and music filled its rooms, but now only dust gathered on antique furniture. The windows were boarded up, and the garden was overgrown with weeds. Many stories were told about the house, and some believed it was haunted. Locals avoided the property, and rumors were spread about strange noises heard at night. Despite its eerie reputation, the house held a certain charm for adventurous teenagers.
