2. Why is it helpful to practice body scans?
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Close your eyes if you feel safe. Bring your attention to your breath for a few moments. Then, slowly move your attention through each part of your body, starting from your toes and moving up to the top of your head.
As you focus on each body part, notice any sensations: warmth, coolness, tingling, pressure, or nothing at all. Just observe, without trying to change anything. Spend about 30 seconds on each area.
After practicing the body scan, write down three things you noticed about your body or how you felt.
